Dallas, TX based writer/producer Geoff Rockwell produced an e.p. for EKG. The band are featured on the front page of Purevolume.com. EKG have built a strong following in their hometown of Little Rock, Arkansas with the release of the e.p. and live shows. Record label scouts have perked up with several calls hours after the Purevolume posting.

Mark Needham mixed Call The Cops new album for Myspace / Interscope Records. The album was released June 21st supported by loads of tour dates across America including Warped Tour.
Dave Cobb produced Jamey Johnson‘s new single “Macon” and six other great songs on james new double-album The Guitar Song, scheduled for release September 14th on Universal Music Nashville.

Mark Needham mixed “Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)” for Shakira as the 2010 FIFA World Cup theme song. The song is a hit around the world. Proceeds from the sale of the single and official album are going to FIFA’s Centres for 2010, the official campaign of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™. Its aim is to create 20 Football for Hope Centres to promote public health, education and football in disadvantaged communities across Africa. As part of the Football for Hope movement led by FIFA and streetfootballworld, the campaign will leave a tangible social legacy for Africa.
Mark Needham worked on and mixed several songs for The Killers Hot Fuss album including their monster single “Mr. Brightside.” The band and album have made it’s mark around the world and here’s some facts we lifted from The Killers website:

Kato Khandwala produced and co-wrote The Pretty Reckless‘ “Make Me Wanna Die” with the band’s singer Taylor Momsen and Ben Phillips. The single is currently #16 in the U.K.’s Top 40 Single’s Chart. It was also featured in the hit movie Kick Ass. Kato produced the group’s album which debuted this week with over 15,000 units sold. Look out for the band on the Warped Tour this summer in the states. Kato Khandwala and Ben Phillips’s writing team is known as The Undertaker’s Daughter and have recently worked with Blondie and Drowning Pool.

Bergen County, New Jersey Pop/Rock band Action Item have been blowing up the scene.
