Geoff Rockwell Update

Brightman Music client Geoff Rockwell has been busy as of late with multiple projects including work on new albums from Forever The Sickest Kids and Crystal Bowersox. The new album from Forever The Sickest Kids will be released on 03.01.2011 through Universal Records. Geoff worked on the production of 2 songs, wrote one of the tracks and was closely involved in production with David Bendeth. See other works from Geoff’s discography on his client page here.

Bands We Like!: Girl In A Coma

Brightman Music client Greg Collins recently produced and mixed Girl In A Coma‘s “Adventures In Coverland” album for Blackheart Records. The all-female, Texas punk-rockers have been drawing high praise from critics for their inspired reinvention of classics by Richie Valenz, David Bowie and The Beatles.

This month, Esquire Magazine rated their sonically experimental cover of Joy Division‘s “Transmission” number-one on their list of “Best songs of 2010 that you probably didn’t hear”

Newly-recorded tracks from L.A. band Dead Country are apparently perking industry ears, as many have been closely watching the band since their single “Euro Thrash” was added to powerhouse modern rock station KROQ a few months ago. A notable deed for any unsigned act and it prompted spins at several other Alternative radio outlets. The new songs were produced by longtime Foo Fighters engineer John “Lou” Lousteau and mixed by Brightman Music client Mark Needham (The Killers, Cobra Starship). Brightman Music client Greg Gordon has been busy working on new projects and has had notable successes with recent and upcoming releases.

Belgian rock band TRIGGERFINGER is gearing up for the release of their new album “Enjoy The Ride” on Dec 5, 2010. Greg Engineered, Mixed and produced the effort (Click HERE to listen to music from the band).

Dave Cobb produced Jamey Johnson‘s new single “Macon” and six other great songs on james new double-album The Guitar Song, scheduled for release September 14th on Mercury Records.

The Pretty Reckless single “Make Me Wanna Die” #16 in the U.K. (Kato Khandwala & Ben Phillips)

Kato Khandwala produced and co-wrote The Pretty Reckless‘ “Make Me Wanna Die” with the band’s singer Taylor Momsen and Ben Phillips. The single is currently #16 in the U.K.’s Top 40 Single’s Chart. It was also featured in the hit movie Kick Ass. Kato produced the group’s album which debuted this week with over 15,000 units sold. Look out for the band on the Warped Tour this summer in the states. Kato Khandwala and Ben Phillips’s writing team is known as The Undertaker’s Daughter and have recently worked with Blondie and Drowning Pool.
